The Okapu F2 Trust Board wish to advise the Kawhia and Aotea community of logging operations soon to be commencing on the Okapu Station.
Logging trucks and heavy machinery will be in and around the station, including the following roads:
- Kawhia Road
- Lake Road
- Morrison Road
- Aotea Road areas. We kindly ask drivers to adhere to any traffic management plans in place, and always keep an eye out for logging trucks and/or heavy logging machinery. We also ask owners of any free range unsecured wandering stock to secure your animals during logging operations, due to the traffic risks that unsecured animals could create. Approx start date for logging is 1st June until end of Aug (TBC). We anticipate that any traffic disruptions are minimal and we thank you your cooperation and understanding during this period.
