Farm progress includes renovations and potential Jobs for Nature

At the monthly Trust Board meeting, held in March, Trustees and advisors made their way around the station to view the progress and mahi of the farm.

Water shortage is an ongoing factor for operations and the excursion included viewing a potential water source.

Special invited guest, Julian from Ministry of Primary Industries, provided the team with details about potential funding options through the Jobs for Nature project. This is something that the Trustees are keen to implement on the station and more information can be found here.

In other new developments the Trust is in the process of renovating the shearers quarters, with the aim to hire this facility as a farm stay accommodation for whanau and groups. It also has the potential to be used for team building exercises and as a training hub for future opportunities.

We look forward to sharing details about the renovations once they are completed. We’ll also keep you updated about the water issues and Jobs for Nature Project, as they become available.
